Kate Lloyd is recruited by a group of Norweign scientists to investigate an alien buried in Antarctica.Unfortunately for them its still alive.
The Thing is a prequel of the 1982 movie.It takes place exactly before the vents of the 1982 version.But it isnt as good.The problem with the 2011 version is that it was pretty much low on scares and just had 2-3 scenes of genuine horror.Many scenes were used from the '82 version and partially ruins most surprises.At the end many questions remain unanswered.
The good points are that it isn't too bad and can be watched for time pass.
