The movie is about a campaign press secretary,Stephen Meyers(Ryan G),who is caught between a scandal in the last days of the Ohio presidential primary.

Ryan Gosling once again shows off his acting skills in The Ides Of March.
With Drive,Crazy Stupid Love and now with IOM,Ryan completes a hat-trick of 3 brilliant performances in 2011.
Speaking about the movie,Ides of March is not for the casual viewer,the movie is a bit hard core US politics.So if you have no idea how the US political system works, you will be a bit lost as the movie proceeds..But its possible to keep track of the basic plot.
The first half is drama,while the second goes into a suspense thriller mode...Its Ryan Gosling that completely carries the movie..
The direction was a bit off here and there and a proper research should have been made about the subject...
