An accident turns 2 magicians into rivals,each trying to out do the other.
After the big success of Batman Begins,Nolan wanted to make a smaller scale movie before he started work on The Dark Knight.The Prestige reunited Bale,Micheal Caine and Nolan.
Prestige is an interesting movie which is a science fiction movie with a mix of suspense and drama.The novel written by Priest was rewritten for the movie by the Nolan Brothers.This was Jonathan Nolan's second work with his brother after the intelligent Memento.And just like Memento ,Prestige turned to be yet another master piece.
Christian Bale once again gave an excellant performance as Borden,while Huge Jackman gave an equally note worthy performance as Angier.Its both their charisma and acting that are the pillars of this movie.
The story with its intelligent script was beautifully shot and presented.
Nolan's trademarks such as the flawed hero and Non-linear timelines are ever present in this movie.Both Angier & Borden cant be called as either heroes nor as villains ,both take turns.This makes the movie more interesting to watch.
