Survivor returned with 18 contestants ,all vying for the $1million dollar jackpot.The downside? Live in an deserted area for 33 days and do various tasks & puzzles .But that isnt what Survivor is mainly about.Its surviving the politics played by the other members.Would you devise your own strategy or would you trust another contestant.
Season 24 opened with a bang. The 18 members were split into 2 Teams according to their gender.Guys vs Girls.
The initial stages of the contests were easily won by the Guys and it seemed that the whole separation according to gender was a very bad idea.But the turning moment was the contestant ,Colton.
Even though he started off as a likeable character he immediately become the MOST hated character EVER in the history of the show.This was followed up with the most dumbest set of characters.From being a powerful team ,the Guys team,fell into unimaginable lows.The girls team picked up on this quickly and started their plan to vote out the guys once both teams merged.Colton had done enough damage to the teams and took out some very deserving members and also managed to drain the interests of all viewers of the show.Thankfully fate was merciful & Colton departed.
The second half of the season saw the guys being completely voted off by the girls and due to the in-fighting between the guys & the total idiocy from the guys side.In the end ,only Troyzan led the lonely fight against the girls.But in the end ,Chelsea,Kim ,Sabrina were the final 3.Kim won the season with 7 votes out of 9.
Kim was the main reason why almost half of the 9 voters got kicked off.Yet they voted for her.She was a great player but she attained that by lying to a great deal of people.This season,none of the contestants were likeable in general.The girls were too cunning while the guys were too dumb.Infact this season didnt put the survivors into any real hardships.Scarcity of food was a major point of most seasons in Survivor,but in this season,food was given out as reward every now and then.And Colton's attitude was a huge turnoff for the viewers.
So overall,this season was not the best for Survivor,due to unlikeable characters and the easy nature of the show this season.I hope the next Season learns from this ones mistakes and bring the heat back.
