Lots of news from the Marvel panel from Comic Con
First off is that Marvel's Phase Two will begin in 2013 and 4 movies are currently in development.
Iron Man 3 (May 3 2013)
Robert Downey returns for the sequel ,and the movie will be directed and co-written by Shane Black (director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang).
The Mandarin is confirmed as the villain of the movie,and will be played by Ben Kingsley.
Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013)
The story continues after the events of The Avengers,and will be directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones).Chris Hemsworth will return as Thor ,and Zachary Levi (from TV show Chuck) will replace Joshua Dallas to play Fandral (one of Thor's friends in the movie)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014)
Chris Evans will return to play the superhero and the movie is to be directed by brothers ,Anthony & Joe Russo (both have directed episodes of TV shows such as Community ,Arrested Development).The Winter Soldier could be a reference to the story in the comics in which Bucky (Captain's close friend who dies in the Captain America movie) was found to be alive, and operating as a brainwashed Soviet assassin.
Guardians of the Galaxy (August 1, 2014)
This is more of a new set of superheroes to be introduced into the Marvel's Movie universe.
For those not familiar with the guardians,heres a short synopsis:
The story centers on a group of alien beings in the 31st century who are each the last of their kind. They eventually travel back in time and interact with 20th century Marvel characters.
For the movie,the team will consist of StarLord, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
Ant-Man
The next surprise was from Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz ,Scott Pilgrim) ,who showed an unfinished (a scene without any effects) clip featuring Ant Man in action. So far no actor has been reveled for the movie.
