Awakening is an okay horror movie.It has a usual horror movie synopsis and it goes along like a usual horror movie half way through.The second half is where it changes ,a bit.
Rebecca Hall was great as the lead role.Very few ghost movies are lead by a strong female character.The supporting cast do their respective roles to the best they can.
The story is typical and quite predictable.And by the time its the second half ,the movie starts to get dull and pointless.The main twist leads to a climax thats almost 15min long.The ending is too simple and leaves much unanswered.The movie is pretty much strong in the first half but falters towards the end.
The horror factor was pretty neat.It played out nicely throughout the movie ,but as i said previously ,towards the end everything gets dull.
