Golden Globe Nominees

The Golden Globe Nominees were announced today.2012 has to be one of the best years for great movies ,and it shows in the nominees.Majority deserve their nominations while still theres plenty that were completely snubbed.TDKR,Avengers,Hobbit,Skyfall and many movies were completely snubbed.

Lincoln led the way with a solid 7 nominations.The winners will be announced on January 13 2013.

No surprises in the Best Picture Category.2012 was a solid year for amazing movies,and these 5 were one of them.
Snubs-Plenty.Choosing 5 itself is a hard task.Flight,Beasts of the Southern Wild,Skyfall,Avengers,TDKR,Master,Hobbit,Cloud Atlas missed the cut.

Predicted Winner-Lincoln.
It depends on how the buzz goes during the award week.But based on the love Lincoln is getting ,it just might sweep the show.But lets not forget that many have gone empty handed even when they got large number of nominations (True Grit got 10 noms ,but failed to win a single one in the Oscar 2011).The closest competition is Zero Dark Thirty which is getting a very strong buzz similar to that of The Hurt Locker.

Snubs-This is 40 should have easily made it through here,but it was snubbed.Ted,one of the years biggest comedy hit too wasnt nominated.Instead we have a surprise selection -Salmon Fishing (which is neither a comedy nor a musical).

Predicted Winner- Les Miserables
It has a strong musical score,engaging drama,excellent cast performances,Les Miserables is a guaranteed winner.Closest competition will be from Silver Lining.

Snubs-None.Once again a good selection.

Predicted Winner-Daniel Day for Lincoln.His role as Lincoln has been praised from the day the posters were revealed.And once the movie was released ,he just swept the audience of their feet.
