in its opening week.This isnt a bad opening ,but it wasnt upto
expectations.Meanwhile Ice Age 4 made $95million overseas in its 3rd
week to bring its foreign tally to a solid $339million.
The movie has been getting mixed to below average reception and currently holds a 40% rating at Rottentomatoes.
#2-Amazing Spiderman couldnt last long at #1 and fell to #2 in its 2nd weekend.It made $35million in its second week , bringing its domestic total to $200million.The movie is strong overseas and has so far made $320million outside the US.
#3-Ted continued its stronghold at the boxoffice by collecting $22million in its 3rd week.Ted has become the surprise hit of the summer.With a moderate budget of just $50million,Ted has made $190million overall.
#4-Even though Ice Age's arrival was expected to diminish Brave's collection ,Brave stood strong at #4.It made $10.7million and brought its domestic total to $195million in its 4th week.
#5-Magic Mike kept falling and it made just 9million in its 3rd week.But its no worries for the team behind the movie since the budget was just $7million and it has made $91million solely through the domestic market.
With the arrival of TDKR this week,will any of these movies stand strong or be completely wiped clean by the Knight?
