The Artist is a black and white silent movie,but dont be thrown off because of this....Artist is one of the most beautiful movies of 2011l...Its not just a romantic movie but is an experience for the current generation of movie lovers..In an era of special effects and CGI ,3D etc ,its getting harder for producers to capture the attention of the public..But "The Artist" just shows how the most simplistic of all movies can just have the same pull as the movies of today...

Its ironical how this silent movie is winning hearts , since the movie is about the demise of the silent era...

The acting is just top class..Jean (George M) gives off a brilliant performance,his presence itself has a magnetic effect on the viewers..
Direction is also solid..Michel has brought the viewers something fresh..The silent movies have been long gone forgotten but the Artist is a tribute to this lost genre..

Artist is a front runner in the Oscar race and i hope it bags the most awards...A must watch....
