After a very long time,Peter Jackson gives us the 7th part of his video blog.This time we have a lovely tour around the studio where The Hobbit is being shot.

I love his blogs since they not only give us an idea of how big this movie is ,but it also shows how much of a family everyone who works in the movie are.

Justice League Development

After the mega success of Avengers ,Warner Bros. are increasing their efforts to bring about a Justice League movie.Latest developments has them hiring Will Beall (writer of Gangster Squad) as a writer for the proposed movie.

Unlike Avengers which had 5 movies before it ,the proposed Justice League movie will have the daunting task of bringing all the superheroes up from scratch.

Justice League is a union of superheroes from the DC universe ,consisting mainly of SuperMan ,Batman,Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern.Even though Warner Bros. had already started developments for a JL movie ,the failure of the 2010 Green Lantern movie set them back.

Fairy tales that were once brought to us by Disney's animation, with all its colourfulness and cheer, is going through a drastic makeover in the present.Last year we had a dark remake of Red Riding Hood,this year theres a grim reboot of Snow White (Snow White & The Huntsman).In the midst of all this comes Mirror Mirror ,which is a remake on Snow White.

Before watching Mirror Mirror, you must know that its not for everyone.Its wierd,wacky and just strange.Its a movie that seems to be made scene for scene from an animated movie.Its that fantastical.Initially the movie is so out of this world that you may just want to stop watching it,but the more you see, the more accustomed you get with the movie's nature.

Lily Collins & Julia Roberts are the main actors in the movie.Though Julia Roberts goes over the top most of the time ,Lily Collins manages to smile her way through the whole duration of the movie.Armie Hammer gives an ok performance.The supporting cast were all okay.

Story is the same old Snow White story ,but its still very different.At times its the exact version but towards the end its completely different.

Tarsem ,known for his visual looks of his movies (such as Immortals) ,shows off his colourful setting for Mirror Mirror.The movie seems to have popped right out of a fairy tale book.At times its wierd ,but yet the movie manages to grow on you.Even though the movie is a bit grim ,its presented quite comically.

Overall ,the movie isnt for the serious audience or those who expect to see the word for word remake of the fairy tale.Mirror Mirror can be enjoyed by kids and for those who love wacky movies.

Conan is the reboot of the 1982 movie of the same name which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Jason Momoa takes up the role of Conan.He is fit for the role ,all muscle & very less acting.The movie being a hack and slash movie theres not much need for any acting.Its all just glares and grunts and blood spurting out at the slightest touch.The supporting cast arent too great either.Rose McGowan's over acting is torturous.

Story is straight forward ,but its also filled with cliches of all kinds.Its highly predictable and any advances to bring a twist fails badly.The original story of Conan has its roots in magic ,monsters and so on.The movie spends most its time showing battles and sword fights ,but towards the end the writers seemed to have remembered that they forgot to add any magic or monsters.And so we have one or two scenes that involve Conan fighting monsters and sorcery,which uptill then didnt seem to exist.

Direction was very poor.The pace of the movie is slow and it rarely gets exciting.The running time of the movie seemed too long.And the overdose of fighting scenes can get boring towards the end.

Overall,this movie is strictly for action lovers but even they would find this boring.
