Fan-made #2 John Carter

Disney's John Carter turned out to be a big disappointment this year earning less than expected at the box office..The $250million budget movie was able to raise just $30million domestically...
But fans of the series are joining together demanding a sequel..John Carter could earn a cult movie status pretty soon..
The major reason for John Carter to fail has been blamed upon the marketing division..The promos & trailers released werent interesting and wasnt able to attract the public..
It was just before the movie did release that the fans started making some Epic trailers (Fan-made #1)...

Heres one more such Fan Trailer called "Heritage"-check it out..

Walking Dead [2x12]

Walking Dead [2x12] Better Angels
TV com Rating-9
RJG Rating-7

Rick & the group secure the barn, while Shane takes matters into his own hands..

For a change this episode was much better than the previous drivel, thanks to the reduced amount of the melodrama...Somehow the intensity of the situation suddenly came back with full force this time..
but what was completely missing was the story...The whole 40 min contained just 15min of story.the complete middle portion was the whole melodrama (toned down this time).Carl(the kid) has now become the worst character ever written..This episode did have some big twists...Overall,even though Season 2 was shockingly horrible compared to the intense Season 1 ,the finale of Season 2 has all the chances to make even the haters of this season watch out for Season 3..wait and watch for the Walking Dead Season finale..

(spoilers)
Shane kills the prisoner and then attempts to kill Rick..Both scenes were carried out quite well..But why bother doing that? Why lead Shane into becoming a psycho throughout this season? His departure from the show is bad,the actor's departure not of the character

Person Of Interest [01x17]

Person Of Interest [01x17] Baby Blue

TV com Rating-8.9
RJG Rating-9

Reese & Carter try to protect a released prisoner from mafia boss Elias ,while Finch abducts the next POI .an abandoned baby...
Another smooth going for POI,no troubles..Compared to the high standards set by the previous episodes, this episode is a bit low on thrills & action, but still a worthy addition to the show..

Agneepath (2012)

[A truly gritty remake]

Agneepath (2012)
IMDB-7.3
RJG Rating-95

After witnessing his father's death in the hands of a thug named Kancha ,Vijay plans an elaborate plan for revenge..

Starring- Hrithik Roshan ,Sanjay Dutt ,Rishi Kapoor
Director- Karan Malhotra

Agneepath is a remake of the 1990 movie of the same name..From the start to finish ,Agneepath is an intense action thriller with strong performances from the main cast..

Hrithik (Vijay) gives truly an amazing performance..This is one of his best performances..Sanjay (Kancha) plays the thug and he gives a fearsome acting..Rishi Kapoor as the second villain isnt far behind..Its one of his first villainous roles ,but Rishi has pulled it off superbly..Priyanka ,unfortunately isnt great ,just average..

Story is superb, and the pace is steady for the full duration of the movie..Every charcter is fully developed...
The action scenes are brutal & bloody..Nothing is withheld in such scenes...
The songs in the first half was not needed and they were too lengthy and risked dragging the pace down..while in the second half songs were aptly used..The main theme used in most of the action scenes was brillaint..

The main issues with the movie are mostly minor...As previously said the 2 songs used in the first half were lenghty and not actually relevent.Scenes with priyanka were a bit over-dramatic..The final fight was intense but i felt it was too long...The end also didnt fully tie up the main issues raised.. But all this are just minor issues..

Overall,Agneepath is a must watch...But due to excessive violence ,this is not for those with a weak heart..

Ghost Adventures [6x01]

Ghost Adventures [6x01] Shanghai Tunnels

TV com Rating-9
RJG Rating-7

The Ghost Adventures crew are back for their 6th season..The first location on their list for this season is the Shanghai Tunnels,Portland...The place has a dark history of kidnapping, human trafficking ,murder and so on..
This episode was a bit disappointing due to lack of strong evidence not being found..But it did capture the best conversation between the crew and a couple of ghosts through the spirit box & a surprise at the end of the episode..

Leonard,Sheldon,Howard & Raj plan to hold a gaming marathon, but this interferes Amy's date with Sheldon..
This episode reminded me of the initial seasons where such fun stuff used to happen every now and then..This was fun but not too funny...

The Grey (2012)

[Extremely Realistic Survival]

The Grey (2012)
IMDB-7.4
RottenTomatoes-78
RJG Rating-85

A plane carrying oil-workers crashes in the middle of a blizzard. But it isnt the harsh cold storm thats threatening the survivors..

Starring- Liam Neeson
Director- Joe Carnahan

Grey is a survival thriller and it sure is chilling...

Liam Neeson takes up another role thats kind of in the same line as of Taken, and as usual he delivers the role with the same intensity..He is the star of the show and he pretty much handles the entire thing by himself..

The story is not exactly new but it isnt dull either...It is intense and gives enough chills..the cliches exist but thankfully it doesnt ruin the experience..

Joe Carnahan (director of A-Team) manages to save this movie from being just another survival tale...the reality of each scene is fully captured and the viewer is brought into the cold harsh lands of Alaska..Earlier in the movie, the plane crash scene was so well done that it raises the standards for the rest of the movie and Joe is able to pull it off..
The only negative part is the slightly dull moments, and some lengthy monologues that at times steal a bit of the tension away..
What could have been an over the top action movie with Liam Neeson kicking ass ,is brilliantly made into a realistic movie with Liam still delivering spine chilling dialogues and kick ass action !

A must-watch..(not for the squeamish)
