Safe House (2012)

[action-packed from start to finish]

Safe House (2012)
IMDB- 6.9
Rotten tomatoes- 54
RJG Rating- 65

Tobin Frost ,a wanted man by the CIA ,voluntarily hands himself over to the government.

Starring- Denzel Washington,Ryan Reynolds
Director- Daniel Espinosa

Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds are the main stars of the show and they both shoulder the movie quite equally. Both are in control and neither overtake the other.
But both do plenty of overacting. Its hard to say who does it more ,Denzel or Ryan .

Story isnt too great ,but its not bad either. It has enough material for the 2hr length ,but the story isnt the priority ,its the action scenes.

Direction is good. The pacing of the movie is great. Its non-stop action from the start to the end.The action scenes are exciting and intense. But this costs the movie much of its story.

Overall ,Safe House isnt exactly a must watch but it definitely should be on the "must watch" list of action junkies. Its a fun movie for time-pass.

Project X (2012)

[movie? more of a montage of party scenes]

Project X (2012)
IMDB- 6.5
Rotten tomatoes- 26
RJG Rating- 20

3 teenagers organize an epic birthday party.

Starring- Thomas Mann,Oliver Cooper,Jonathan Daniel
Director- Nima Nourizadeh

Project X is a movie produced by Todd Philips ,director of movies such as Hangover & Old School, the influence of such movies can be clearly seen in Project X.Its presented as a "found-footage" movie.

The main cast are newbies and in a movie such as this ,they seem to have no effect on the movie.

The movie has no story. The story is this: 3 teenagers have a birthday party, invite everyone, and after a while it goes out of control. The end.The time between these plot twists are filled with 15min of Party scenes.

Directing was useless. The movie has no plot or any reasonable objective. Its like a 90min music video with loud music playing.Another sad thing about the movie is the idiotic stuff that keep happening. The ending of this movie is just unbelievable, the real life consequences are downplayed and it carries a very negative message. This makes Project X a very bad influence for the youth.

The movies main highlights are the party scenes which are indeed epic. Its fun to watch them but then you start to realize that you arent watching a movie.

Project X are for the youngsters and for people who dont mind seeing a movie without a story.

Rise Of The Planet Of Apes Sequel Date

Wow,it looks like the XMen FC sequel wont be the only anticipated sequel for 2014.Rise OF the Planet Of Apes (which in my opinion was the best movie of 2011) will continue its tale in 2014 with its sequel, titled Dawn Of The Planet Of Apes. The date set is May 23rd 2014.
Rupert Wyatt will be back as director ,and so will be the exceptional Andy Serkis as Caesar.
