Two And A Half Men [9x24] Oh Look! Al-Qaeda!

TV com Rating-7.4

Jake & Eldridge finish high school and set off looking for a job.

This episode was much better than recent disasters from 2 and a half men.But still the episode was filled with lame jokes.Jake was the main star of the show. The best part of the show is definitely the climax ,where a montage of Jake from Season 1-3 are played. Its so easy to see how ,from a slightly dumb kid Jake was made into a complete retard in this season.

This was also the season finale for the show.In my opinion it was the worst season in the show's history.Lack of Charlie really affected the entire balance of the show. And the awkward transition of normal characters like Allen & Jake into a gay & a retard was definitely poorly thought off.But somehow, the show has been given a 10th season and will be returning this September

After 2 months since getting expelled,Abed's obsession with greendale leads to a visit with a psychatrist

And Community strikes AGAIN! The show has picked up on its dark storyline ,that has been running throughout Season 3, and is transforming it into an epic storyline as we near the finale episode. Most shows present snippets from past episodes to form a sort of compilation of best moments,Community used short skits to fill up for these recaps, and all are just hilarious. The twists and turns and the fantastic spoofing towards the end...Hats off to you Community.

Following the sudden demise of a classmate, the study group unintentially starts a riot.

Damn it! Community does it AGAIN! Another perfect episode. The jokes may not be laugh out loud types, but its the type that gives an epic feeling of comedy.Wondering what that feels like?Maybe you should check out the riot control scene in this episode.
Although Community runs mostly on stand alone stories with just one link to any previous episode ,this one seems to be just Part 1 of a hilarious story arc planned.

Jeff & Annie's biology project is destroyed.Abed & Troy are on the case.

Community this time parodied Law And Order , and it hit the mark. The show proceeded in the exact manner courtroom-crime drama shows do ,but the comedy part was ever present.Community's innovative approach to presentation is definitely its strongest point.

Finch tries to make Reese stay away from the new case. Can Finch & Fusco handle the new POI without Reese?

Out of all the episodes of POI ,i think this was the most thrilling one.It sent chills up my spine. It was not the story ,but it was the intensity of the atmosphere the episode was shot in.James Caviezel (Reese) was undoubtedly the main highlight. He really owned this episode. The episode calmly revealed a large portion of Reese's background story, which was again amazingly unfolded, layer by layer.
I dont know if its just me or a well thought of idea, i felt the character of Reese being heavily influenced of the Nolan's Batman(Jonathan Nolan ,the head writer of POI ,has also written both The Dark Knight & the upcoming Dark Knight Rises)

Prometheus Poster

So far Prometheus has the best viral marketing strategy of 2012.But has it gone overboard? Adding too many plot points of the movie can ruin the whole project.

Episodes is about a pair of British writers shifting to LA to make an Americanised version of their British show.

After the ending in Season 1 ,which showed the 'Pucks!' pilot episode being selected for airing, this episode shows how the writers have moved on from the incidents of Season1.

Season 1 of this show was awesome,so i thought of adding it up to my list of TV reviews. The starting episode from Season 2 continued the awesome vibe of Season 1.It was funny in the quiet way and Matt LeBlanc was awesome.

Reese and Finch keep an eye out for their next POI ,a worker for an armoured car service.

POI still manages to pull of twists and turns. This episode was pretty amazing. The backstory of Reese was nicely laid out and Fusco too had a great role in this one.Even after 20 episodes POI shows it has plenty of fuel left to keep the audience at the end of their seats.

The finale is a 2 part episode. The first is about the birth of Marshall & Lilly's baby, the final part is about Ted's second chance with Victoria and Barney & Quinn leaving for a vacation to Hawaii.

The first episode was a pleasant one ,with a couple of new stories being thrown around.Another fun thing was the whole Barney & Marshall's attempt to reach the hospital.

The second part started out slow but it immediately increased its pace in the final moments. There was some fresh jokes with the newborn baby ,and the whole hunt for Ted's wife took a new turn ,and Barney was back to his 'legendary' acts. But once again the show couldnt resist pulling out a cliffhanger at the season finale.

[complete failure of a movie by McG]

This means War (2012)

2 CIA agents who are best of friends ,get their friendship tested when both of them fall in love with the same girl.

Starring- Tom Hardy ,Chris Pine ,Reese Witherspoon
Director- McG

This Means War had a good concept and a great set of actors ,but McG fails to utilize both.

Tom Hardy & Chris Pine were nicely paired and both do their best to their given roles.Reese Witherspoon was horrible in this movie. She completely failed to stand up to the acting standards set up by her male co-stars.

The story had a tried out concept. But it had lots of potential to make the film stand out.Unfortunately it used all the good stuff in the first half leading to a very dull second half.

McG as a director completely falls flat. The movie had a slow pace in general. The movie is an action comedy, but Mcg does his best to insert some drama scenes too, and those drama scenes turn up so suddenly that the viewer doesn't know whether its a joke or some serious issue. The climax is poor too.

Action scenes were the usual fare. The movie had some good comedy scenes but 90% of them were utilized in the trailers.

Overall TMW is a poorly made movie with a weak script and poor direction. The movie doesn't make any connection with its viewers.
