21 Jump Street (2012)
[hilarious]
IMDB- 7.4
Rotten Tomatoes- 85
RJG Ratings- 85
2 undercover cops pose as high school teenagers to bust a drug gang.
Starring- Jonah Hill,Channing Tatum
Director- Phil Lord ,Chris Miller
21 Jump Street is a reboot of the hit 80's TV show of the same name.Even though the TV show was more dramatic in nature, the movie is a laugh riot.
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are the main leads.Even though they may not seem to be a perfect pair, they give their best.Tatum feels to be a bit too old for this role and his comic sense isnt too good, but he is able to give a decent performance. But its Jonah Hill that steals the show.Being part of the "new-age comedians" ,gives him the edge ,and he carries out the jokes perfectly and is at ease from start to finish.
The story is quite simple and doesnt pull any twists or turns ,but its the comedy scenes that are its main highlights.
The main strength of the movie is its first half which moves along perfectly thanks to the chemistry between the lead pair. But as it enters the finale the jokes give way for some action and becomes a bit dull compared to the first half. But this isnt much of a problem, since the movie has already hooked the viewers.
Overall,21 Jump Street is the best comedy movie ive seen this year (yet). Definitively worth checking out.
Acting- 4/5

Samples from TDKR Soundtrack
30 second teasers of the tracks from The Dark Knight Rises have been released.
Theres a connectivity with the earlier albums of Batman Begins & Dark Knight, but this one does have its own eerie yet a sort of calmness sound to it.Whats your take on the 30 seconds?

Intruders (2012)
[fails to follow up to a strong first half]
IMDB- 5.3
RottenTomatoes- 33
RJG Rating- 40
2 children are haunted by a faceless stalker ,called Hollowface.
Starring- Clive Owen
Director- Juan Carlos Fresnadillo
Intruders is a horror movie which is partially in Spanish. Its the tale of 2 kids, told in a non-linear fashion.
Clive Owen is the only recognisable star of the movie. He gives a good performance and is backe by a good supporting cast.
The whole concept seems old but it was quite good. The first half has some great scenes. But as the movie progresses,it falls prey to the usual clichesand ends up being predictable. The message delivered at the climax has almost no relation to the whole movie.
The director seems to have run out of material halfway. The ending doesnt fully answer the questions posed by the movie, but just ends up raising more questions.
The horror techniques used is the 'slow & steady' method.(By this i mean that the horror element doesnt suddenly flash in your face, but prefers to slowly approach you)Unfortunately, the horror element starts to wear off towards the end since the story doesnt bother to intensify the villain too much.
Overall Intruders could have been a good horror flick, but its second half disappoints.A timepass watch for horror addicts.
Acting- 3/5
Story- 2/5
Direction- 2.5/5
Horror- 2.5/5

News on the Terminator Series
1-Its said that there will be 2 more movies (parts 5 & 6) and the 6th part will be the last of the series.
2-The movie will continue where McG (director of the 4th part- Terminator Salvation) left.
3-Unlike Salvation which had a CGI cameo from Arnold ,the next 2 movies will have him in the main role.
4-Shooting starts next year, and is expected to last for 6 months.
Considering nothing is being said about Christian Bale (he played John Conner in Salvation),its safe to assume ,that yet another actor will be hired to play as John Connor.
